RACV Cape Schanck Resort’s championship course was designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jnr.

With excellent drainage and superbly manicured greens and fairways, the course provides excellent year-round playing conditions. The course features two hectares of huge greens, large open bunkers and ocean views from 11 holes.

 

Public bookings and tee times

To be able to make an online booking you must first select the ‘Register for Online Bookings’ option on the right hand side of this page.

Once registered you will be sent a username and password which will enable you to login, view tee times and make a booking.

 

Victorian resorts

All bookings completed online receive 10% off the total value of your cart when you use the promo code – CSR3939.

Select your tee times and equipment and in the payment screen type in the promo code and the discount will be automatically applied.

Before You Book

Refunds & Cancellations

All bookings require pre-payment.

In the event that a player or group of players cannot make a reserved tee time, and provided the golf shop staff are notified before 5:00pm the day prior to the day of play, a credit to the value of the booking will be issued. Credits will be valid for 12 months from the issue date. Telephone the golf shop to reschedule the booking.

In the event a credit note is given, it will be stored on the RACV Cape Schanck Golf Shops data base and an email
will be sent to the email address registered at the time of the booking.

In exceptional circumstances a refund may be provided. Please contact golf operations to discuss.

RACV Golf Member Bookings

RACV Golf Members who wish to redeem their free or half price rounds of golf must book and pay for their rounds over the phone by calling the golf operations staff on 59 508 100. RACV Golf Members must provide their RACV Golf Membership number at the time of booking and must present their RACV Golf Membership voucher on the day of play.

Bookings Confirmation

Successful online bookings will receive an automatic confirmation via email.

No further confirmation is required.

The internet booking system is directly linked to the reservation software, and the customer will only be contacted if a RACV Cape Schanck Resort staff member has a query regarding your booking. If a confirmation email is not received, the customer must check that the email entered is correct. Queries, questions or problems with the RACV Cape Schanck Resort Booking System please telephone (03) 5950 8100. The customer is required as proof of booking to provide the reference number or the credit card used to secure the booking at the time of registration to the reservations staff.

RACV Cape Schanck Resort reserves the right to alter tee times without notice due to circumstances outside of RACV Cape Schanck Resort’s control. (E.g. lightning, slow play, course renovations).

Tee Time Modifications

Bookings cannot be modified online. Modifications to tee times can be made by calling Golf Reservations on (03) 5950 8100 or sending a detailed email to capeschanck_golfshop@racv.com.au together with a copy of the original confirmation email. No guarantee can be given for the requested date/time.

You must check in at Golf reservations a minimum of 15-20 minutes before your tee time is due to start, should you not arrive and register with Golf Reservations you may risk the cancellation of your tee time, in this event a credit note will not be given.

RACV Cape Schanck Resort reserves the right to remove customers from the course if the rules of RACV Cape Schanck Resort Course have not been adhered to. These rules are consistent with the etiquette outlined by the R&A in the rules of golf and are monitored by golf operations staff.

All patrons utilising the RACV Cape Schanck Resort golf courses do so under the instruction of the golf operations staff. Failure to adhere to instructions may result in removal from the golf course.

Guidelines for Play

  • Markers indicate distances to the centre of the green on par 4’s and 5’s at 100, 150 and in some cases 200 metres.
  • Red flags indicate pin placement on the front third of the green, yellow flags indicate middle third, and chequered flags indicate the back third.
  • Golfers must give way to ground staff at all times.
  • The course marshall controls play and direction must be taken from him/her.
  • Management reserves the right to remove persons inappropriately behaved or attired from the course.
  • Should your group be unable to keep up with the group ahead and you are delaying the progress of the following group they should be called to play through.

Golf Cart Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability and Indemnity

Please read this document carefully. By booking via the RACV Cape Schanck Resort MiClub page, you are, as the representative of the group, both personally and on behalf of the group, giving up substantial rights, including the right to sue RACV Sales and Marketing Pty Ltd ABN 11 005 258 702 trading as RACV Cape Schanck Resort, its officers, employees and agents (“RACV”) and any or all parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies of RACV and any of their respective officers, employees and agents.

Rules and Regulations

  1. All golf cart drivers must be over 18 years of age and MUST have a current driver’s licence.
  2. Children are NOT allowed to drive golf carts at any time.
  3. Golf carts must not be operated in a manner that may endanger passengers or other people on the course, or damage property.
  4. No more than 2 persons and 2 golf bags are allowed in the golf cart at any one time.
  5. Persons are NOT permitted to ride on the back of a golf cart for any reason.
  6. Golf carts are NOT to be driven anywhere except to the car park, on the golf course fairways and on designated cart paths.
  7. On par 4s and par 5s, carts may be driven on fairways but must return to cart paths when within 50 metres of greens.
  8. On all par 3s carts MUST remain on cart paths at all times.
  9. All steep ground, bare areas and areas affected by water must be avoided.
  10. All golf cart drivers must not be intoxicated (whether by drugs or alcohol) whilst in control of the golf cart.

Damage to Golf Cart

I agree to return the golf cart immediately following completion of use, in as good condition as I received it, normal wear and tear excepted. I agree to pay for any damage or loss (including any legal costs incurred by RACV) to the golf cart whilst the golf cart is in my possession and control.

Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement

Waiver of Liability: In consideration of being permitted to use RACV’s golf cart, to the extent permitted by law, I hereby waive, release, covenant not to sue and discharge RACV, its officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, actions, suits, demands, losses and other liabilities of any kind resulting from the inherent risks of using the golf cart or the negligence of RACV that I may have arising from use of the golf cart. This applies to personal injury (including death) from incidents arise from the use of the golf cart and any and all claims resulting from damage to, loss of, or theft of property.

Assumption of Inherent Risk: Use and control of a golf cart, by its very nature, carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary from one activity to another, from one location to another, from one individual to another, but the risks of driving, riding or using a golf cart range from minor injuries to major and catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death. I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to assess the hazards presented by my use of the golf cart and further agree that I am the ultimate judge as to whether I can use the golf cart without risk of harm to myself and others.

Indemnification Agreement: To the extent permitted by law, I agree to DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS RACV, its officers, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of actions, for costs, legal fees, expenses or damages to personal property, or personal injury, or death, which may result from any use of the golf cart. This applies both to claims arising from the inherent risks of using the golf cart or the negligence of RACV, its officers, employees and agents.

FURTHERMORE, I WARRANT THAT I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE OPERATION, USE AND CONTROL OF THE GOLF CART, THAT I HAVE READ THE RULES ABOVE AND THAT I AM ABLE TO OPERATE THE GOLF CART SAFELY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES.
